A clinical assessments is the first therapeutic step towards mental health well-being. During this process we determine what problems are effecting the client and make recommendations for treatment best aligned with managing and reducing the client's symptoms.
Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is a treatment for children and adolescents ages 3-18 who have significant emotional and/or behavioral problems related to traumatic life events. Traumatic life events may include physical abuse, sexual abuse, domestic abuse, neglect, and other types of trauma.
Individual therapy is a joint process between a therapist and a person in therapy. Therapy can help you address issues that are hard to face alone. It can also increase positive feelings, such as compassion and self-esteem, and promote positive change through self-empowerment. People in therapy can learn skills for handling difficult situations, making healthy decisions, and reaching goals.
"Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is a structured program of psychotherapy with a strong educational component designed to provide skills for managing intense emotions and negotiating social relationships. It is also the treatment of choice for borderline personality disorder, emotion dysregulation, and a growing array of psychiatric conditions. It consists of group instruction and individual therapy sessions, both conducted weekly for six months to a year."
